Enrichment
Along with experiences we offer through visits and visitors in our school as part of the 'INQUIRE' phase in our curriculum learning, we have, for many years, also provided our Year 2 children with the amazing weekend residential where they undertake a range of activities and stay overnight.
Over the past couple of years, we had our residential at school and had fun doing a variety of different adventure activities:
Caving, rock climbing, archery and much more.
Trips
In September year 2 children enjoyed an activity weekend at school.
Clubs
We run a variety of lunchtime clubs in school as chosen by the children through our School Council meetings.
Some of the clubs on offer include:
Spelling club- where children learn common exception words to develop a confidence in and love of spelling.
Number Ninjas- where children have fun with Maths concepts.
Dodgeball- to exercise their agility
Music Club- to try something new
Amazing Authors- using our amazing writing skills to produce a school newspaper
Science Lab- where we complete experiments and make predictions
Construction club- where we build in different ways
to name some of them.
Children also have the opportunity to do cooking and play football during the school day.
