 Welcome to our school

Message from the Headteacher.

I am pleased to welcome you and your child to St Margaret's Infant School, which is full of happy and hardworking children and enthusiastic, dedicated staff.

As a school, we believe that Every Child Matters and staff work hard to ensure that learning at our school is fun, exciting, challenging and rewarding. We provide a warm and caring environment which enables children to feel valued, happy, safe and secure as they grow, learn and develop.

The first years in school are the most important as they shape children’s attitudes to learning and you can be assured we will work closely with you and your child to make sure that, by the time your child leaves our school,  he or she is motivated and ready for the next stage of their journey through education.

Local families have been sending their children to our happy, friendly school for generations and it enjoys a special place at the heart of this community.  Today’s teachers, governors and parents are justifiably very proud of our school and its many achievements and continually strive to inspire all children and give them the best foundations for life - independent learning, self-expression, physical activity, good behaviour and sociability.

As the headteacher I am extremely proud of St Margaret’s Infant School and delight in being part of the team that provides an effective learning environment where children thrive, develop a love for learning and thus fulfil their potential.
