We are very pleased to continue being a 'GOOD' school as a result of our recent two day inspection by OFSTED. Please remember that children need their PE kits and a coat in school each day.

We are a three form infant school with an attached nursery. The school aims are the foundation of our work and all our activities support these aims.  Our overall aim:

Work together for excellence.

We value:

the individual

the whole child

a happy, caring and stimulating environment

equality of opportunity

parental partnership in the child’s learning experiences

Launch of Film Club for YrR, Yr1, Yr2
Year R, Year 1 & Year 2 Virtual Film Club Dear Parents, I have set up a virtual Film Club for the children of St. Margaret’s Infant School (and it will be suitable for younger children too). Each week, I will choose a ‘U’ rated film that is being shown on terrestrial TV at some point during the following week and will post this on the dedicated Twitter feed shown below. Children who wish to take part can then watch the film and respond through the Twitter feed: @FilmClubStMarg1 After watching the chosen film, children are encouraged to respond in any way. They may wish to give a written review, a video review, draw a picture of their favourite part or character or they may wish to dress up or make puppets to reinact part of the film. However they and you as a family wish to respond is up to you. Please remember this is a public feed, so please keep any personal details private in your postings or in response to others. The first film will be 'The Croods' which is scheduled to be shown on BBC1 on Sunday 5th April from 4:05 - 5:35. Subsequent films will be posted on the Twitter feed only. I hope that children will enjoy the opportunity to watch and respond to a range of films over the coming weeks. If you are not able to watch it when broadcasted, then you could record it or you might be able to find it on a catch-up / on demand service. Turn the lights down, cuddle up on the sofa and don’t forget the snacks and popcorn! Lights, Camera, Action! Enjoy, Mr. Collis

    Nut allergies
We are a nut-free school because we have a number of children with serious reactions to nuts. PLEASE can all parents be vigilant and ensure any celebratory birthday treats that are sent in for the class DO NOT contain nuts. Thank you for your support in this serious matter.
